I work as a fractional finance director for nonprofit organizations. Think of me as your fractional outsourced finance person, not a one-time consultant. Do you only work with non profit organizations?

My focus and current capacity are non profit organizations, particularly those managing grant funding. If you're a for-profit business with fiscal management needs, feel free to reach out. While non profits are where my experience and attention are, I aim to be a resource for mission-driven leaders in any way that I can.

Do you have to pay grants back?

It depends on your contract and the terms of the relationship.  Some grant funding is determine based on your organization's meeting of milestones, some based on reimbursement of eligible expenses.  If milestones are not met, or expenses are not incurred, you may have to return funds that were advanced to you.  When in doubt revisit your contract or speak to your funder's program director.

How can I find grants for my organization?

The simplest answer is through internet searches but additional options include grant databases, newsletters and mailing lists for grant funders, attending workshops and conferences related to grants, and ideally networking with other organizations and professionals in your industry.
